Beate is a distinguished expert in marketing and retail with over 17 years of experience in the field. With an impressive academic and professional background, she is renowned for her contributions to marketing commerce, digital marketing, and retail education.
Beate holds a PhD in Industrial Economics and Management. Her career spans various roles, including sales, consulting, and academia. She has worked with leading brands like Coverderm, Aspen Pharmacare, and Avid Brands.
As an accomplished academic, she has dedicated over 12 years to lecturing and academic management at the University of Johannesburg. Her passion for education is evident in her role as the W&R Seta Leadership Chair: Gauteng, where she pioneered initiatives to develop critical thinkers and problem solvers in the retail industry. One of her most notable achievements was launching a youth empowerment programme that employed 100 young field marketers across South Africa, providing them with valuable skills and educational opportunities.
Beate is also a certified Digital Marketing Professional (DMI International) and has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to the field. Her expertise is sought after at industry events, conferences, and media outlets, where she shares her insights on marketing, branding, and consumer behavior.

Amanda is a business-savvy and pragmatic executive with over 20 years of professional experience in various sectors including education, law and media. Amanda has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Women’s Studies, a Master’s Degree in Education (Curriculum & Design) and a Doctorate in Law (J.D.).
She previously worked as a teacher in an inner city school in Chicago, trained as a prosector and has extensive experience leading business initiatives across the globe with a proven ability to influence change and develop strategy across a variety of cultures. She led numerous worldwide initiatives as the Global Business Development Manager of an international law firm working closely with brands such as Apple, MTV and Kimberly Clark.
Amanda currently leads the business and expansion efforts of her company City Savvy Luxembourg Media. She founded LUX WMN Magazine and Business Club in 2019 and as been working with various businesses and female entrepreneurs in Luxembourg as a business strategist for the last 8 years.
Amanda has been working in the academic world for the past 7 years as a professor at Miami University. She is the professor leading Miami University’s Digital Innovation program along with teaching International Marketing and Business Communications at their campus in Luxembourg.
